Germ: Cannibalism is contagious
First, some thanks
My crew and I shot Germ in 2009 in the back woods and small towns of upstate New York.
We received tremendous support from the local community, with people driving for hours to participate as extras and with kind-hearted strangers and publc officials offering up the use of their homes, offices, and streets.
I'm eternally grateful to have had the chance to meet and work with such a great team. I"m espeially grateful to my wife, Lynette, for acting in the movie (as Mrs Brewer) and for enduring 6 weeks in the woods.
Background
One night I dreamed a dream of a young woman in peril int the woods.
I'm sure Shakespeare started his work the same way: pick a cliched idea and just go with it. Or maybe not...
Anyway, the dream stuck with me, and soon I'd written a script called "Run" that before too long became "Germ." Fangoria dressed the name up further when they acquired the rights to distribute the film.
